#cantwaittogetstarted!

My name is Jess Tyson and I am 22. I first thought about wanting to work at a camp when I was 13, as my tennis coach had gone and loved her experience. I finally applied when I was 21! I've always loved working with children in new environments, and most of all I love that look on their face when they get a grasp on something they have been working on.

At home I am the manager of a frozen yoghurt bar and also head coach at a basketball club.

My camp is called Pequot Sherwood Day Camp and it is part of a group of four camps which come under the name of Incarnation Camp, in Ivoryton, Connecticut. Each week, in day camp, we have around 100 campers between the ages of 4 and 13. With these children we lead them through various land and water activities and they have the opportunity to sleep over once per week. I love interacting with all of the children from various backgrounds, and being able to make their summer the best fun it can be!
